ON-CAMPUS -  The Lock Haven University Foundation is looking for students who are passionate about LHU, have great communication skills, and want to make a difference on their campus to apply for the Student Calling Program.

Phonathon Student Development Representatives (or, SDRs), represent the University in raising funds for the LHU Annual Fund.

The SDRs report to the Coordinator of Alumni Relations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Contact alumni of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania to educate them about the LHU Annual Fund and campaign initiatives.
  • Establish a positive rapport with the alumni you call.
  • Share information and answer any questions about the University. Represent the University positively in discussing issues that concern the alum.
  • Request gift support for the LHU Annual Fund and capital campaigns.
  • Update constituent’s alumni record.
  • Maintain records of each evening’s calls.
  • Follow all other procedures and guidelines in the training manual.

Qualifications Include:

  • Enthusiasm in support of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and its mission.
  • Effectiveness and genuine warmth in contacts with others
  • Strong character and positive attitude
  • Ability to work harmoniously with managers and as a team with other SDRs
  • Organizational abilities and attentiveness to details
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Comfort in soliciting gifts from alumni
  • Persistence in securing and negotiating a pledge 

Working hours:

  • Phonathon shifts run Sunday-Thursday from 6-9 p.m. All SDRs must work a minimum of two shifts per week.

Salary

  • Phonathon SDRs begin at $7.25 per hour. SDRs may also earn performance bonuses on a nightly, weekly and semester term.

ON-CAMPUS - The LHU Athletics Department is looking for an event management assistant for the 2016-17 academic year.

Short description of duties: Event set-up, event tear-down, must be capable and willing to perform public address announcing, scoreboard operator, other general events management responsibilities; must be able to work some afternoons along with evenings and weekends.

Start date:  Saturday, August 27

End date: academic year position; including some vacation breaks (if available).

Pay rate: Minimum wage

ON-CAMPUS - The LHU Testing Center Services is looking for 3 Testing Center Administrators/Proctors. 

Job Description: The LHU Testing Center Administrator/Proctor will be working as a Part-time Test Administrator/Proctor for our LHU Testing Center Services located in Raub Hall 103 & 106.

Schedule Requirements:   Our ideal candidate demonstrates flexibility and teamwork.  This is strictly a part-time position and will remain as such.  Ability to work test center hours as published and are subject to change with notice.

Responsibilities:  The Test Administrator/Proctor position is responsible for providing a secure exam delivery and superior customer service in a comfortable friendly environment. A test administrator and proctor…

Understands and complies with all testing procedures and maintains certifications required by PearsonVUE and ETS.
Checks in examinees, verifies identification, and explains the exam process.
Monitors examinees while testing.
Maintains a secure testing environment.
Communicates with internal departments to investigate and fix technical issues.
Strictly adheres to company policies using careful judgment.
Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year customer service experience required.
Strong communication skills are a must.
Must be flexible in work hours and days.
Must be comfortable in a quiet testing environment.
Beginner to Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
High school diploma or equivalent.
 
Proctors must be available/reside locally over the summer. 
 
Hours of operation are: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. –
10:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
